In the Spotlight: The Creative Excellence Fund

Helping CCAD Juniors and Seniors stay On Track

In this period of unprecedented economic uncertainty, CCAD has found that there is a vulnerable point between the junior and senior years in a student’s path toward graduation. Severe challenges can result from changes in a family’s financial situation.

The new Creative Excellence Fund directly addresses this need by generating need-based grants for juniors and seniors with excellent academic records who have fallen short of funding for their education despite having applied for all available aid.

The fund was established with a visionary leadership gift from the William H. Davis, Dorothy M. Davis, and William C. Davis Foundation. And beyond simply establishing the endowment, the Davis Foundation has extended its investment with a challenge to others in the community: additional gifts to the fund will be matched one-for-one until December 2010, up to a total of $50,000.

Last-dollar scholarships like these can be the difference between educational success and failure for students at CCAD—and your gift is vital.
