Alumni Gathering – April 11, 2007
The Isleworth Country Club, Orlando, FL
Host Ron Pizzuti once again generously welcomed Floridian alumni to gather at the luxurious Isleworth Country Club. President Denny Griffith, Dean Richard Aschenbrand, VP of Institutional Advancement, Stephanie Hightower and Director of Alumni Relations, Lucy Godman attended and mingled with over forty guests. Alumni visits while in the area included Rick Yearick (’59), Dean Mitchell (’80), David McGough (Associate), Kym Moreland-Garnett (’92), Nina (Sheetz) Allen (‘95), Disney Jim Jackson (’89), EA Games.

Alumni Gathering – March 16, 2007
Lula Cocina Mexicana, Santa Monica, CA
A gathering replete with killer Margaritas and salsa with a kick was held at Lula’s in sunny Santa Monica. An area richly inhabited with graduates in the animation, film, and media industries, many connections were made at the event and during subsequent appointments. Ron Saks, chair of media studies and Lucy Godman, director of alumni relations visited several alumni stars who are making their mark out West including Steve Stone (’83), Heat on location for a Conde Naste shoot with Molly Sims, Chadd Ferron (‘92) and Mark Mitchell (‘91) with Disney Animation, Bert Poole (‘96), Dreamworks, Sean McNally (‘02) Blur Studios and Kirk Mawhinney, (‘04) Digital Domain.

Alumni Gathering – March 14, 2007
Lingba Lounge, San Francisco, CA
Gathering in the trendy Petrero District of San Francisco, alumni reminisced about old times. Russell Rothan got the prize for traveling the furthest (and happened to also show up to the Orlando gathering) from Virginia on his way to Hong Kong!

Ron Saks and Lucy Godman took a field trip to Pixar and met with Brian Fee (’98) and Dan Scanlon (’98) who worked on the recent feature Cars. Chris Fenton (’98) with Shaba Games showcased cutting-edge products in various stages of development.
