Redsland Forever by C.F. Payne

C.F. Payne, chair of Illustration, recently completed two projects: illustrating comedian Steve Martin’s new childrens’ book Late for School, and a limited-edition print titled Redsland Forever, which is to be unveiled at the Cincinnati Art Museum on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009.

Payne is signing 500 of the 15-inch by 40-inch prints, which suspends belief so that 14 great players spanning the history of the team are on the same ballfield in their prime. Signed prints are $250 and unsigned posters are $50. All proceeds benefit both the Cincinnati Art Museum and the Reds Community Fund. Redsland Forever is part of Payne’s Famous Faces, Average Joes exhibition at the Cincinnati museum through Jan. 10, 2010.

The book Late for School is to be released in 2010. It is the tenth children’s book that Payne has illustrated, including two written by Martin.
