Send to KindleGive Back, CCAD’s student community group, recently organized several efforts in support of earthquake relief in Haiti that also benefitted people in Central Ohio. Beginning with organizing donation cans throughout campus for five weeks, as well as coordinating and hosting a large art and clothing sale, funds were donated to the American Red Cross for Haiti Relief and Development. A church in California learned of the students efforts and made a matching pledge. And, items remaining after the clothing sale were donated to the United Methodist Free Store in Columbus. CCAD students Janell Clemente, Elise Shine, Travis Hayes, and Katilin Hyland were key organizers of these charitable activities.
