Shelby Bertsch, a freshman majoring in Illustration, was selected as the overall winner of Celadon Group’s Art for the Long Haul student art contest, which was part of the company’s25th birthday celebration. Selected as best of show among entries from throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico, Bertsch’s submission portrays an animated girl gazing into the distance with her hair flowing in the wind. A trailer wrapped with the winning artwork was parked in front of the New York Stock Exchange when Celadon’s chairman and CEO rang the opening bell on April 23. Bertsch’s artwork will hit the road when the trailer reenters service in Celadon’s fleet.
