CCAD's Student Programming Board is hosting a Welcome Fest

While classes officially start on Monday (Aug. 30), Columbus College of Art & Design has already launched a series of events to welcome more than 1,300 students to campus.

With move-in day happening Thursday, Aug. 16, new students start their first official day at CCAD on Friday Aug. 27, with orientation, which is followed by an evening picnic with President Denny Griffith—where the whole CCAD family is invited to eat, greet and be merry.

Throughout the following week and into September, students will get back into the swing of school with events such as, the Welcome Assembly featuring Bevil Conway, Sept. 2; Welcome Fest (hosted by CCAD’s Student Programming Board and featuring three bands) Sept. 3; CCAD’s Day of Service, Sept. 4; and on Sept. 8 the Student Involvement & Organizations Fair and the opening of Shared Spaces: the 2010 CCAD Faculty Biennial Exhibition.
