CCAD has launched a new conference that provides professional development to business leaders, arts administrators, and creative professionals.

Industry + Artistry = Innovation, CCAD’s inaugural Business Plus Creatives conference is Oct. 22 and 23, and offers a mix of business sense and creative inspiration that all attendees can put into practice.

“We’ve designed this conference to bring together  professionals in business and administration with artists and designers to formulate a common language.,” said Char Norman, CCAD’s associate provost. “For example, we have a session to help artists/designers navigate their business needs. We also have sessions to help professionals in the business community better leverage creative talent and innovation.”

Susan Koblin Schear will present the keynote address on Friday, Oct. 22. Schear is the founder of ArtIsIn, which offers comprehensive business development and management services for the arts and culture.

Artie Isaac will open Saturday morning (Oct. 23) before the sessions get underway. Isaac  is a co-founder of SpeakerSite, the world’s largest social network of public speakers and event planners, and Young Isaac, an award-winning marketing and advertising agency in Columbus, he is also an adjunct instructor at CCAD.
