CCAD’s Class of 2011 kicked-off their last 100 days at CCAD with a fundraising concert in the Loann Crane Center for Design Thursday evening. All funds raised during the event will go toward the senior class gift.
This marks the first senior class gift in CCAD’s history. Seniors will raise funds during the remainder of their time here and donate all proceeds to the school’s general scholarship fund.
“Giving the gift of a scholarship was pretty much a no-brainer,” said Class President David Merz a senior majoring in Advertising & Graphic Design. “And getting to spend time with our classmates during our last days on campus makes giving back totally worth it.”
Emceed by Merz, the event opened with sets from local band Good Buddy and CCAD Advertising & Graphic Design senior Steven VanScoy. Columbus-based, nationally-touring band Yellow Light Maybe rounded out the evening.
