Sophomore Orchestrates Finalist in Mascot Contest

Maestro Note by Shelby Bertsch

An entry submitted by a CCAD sophomore is a finalist in the mascot design contest for the 2012 World Choir Games.

Maestro Note by Shelby Bertsch features an anthropomorphic note dressed in a suit and waving a maestro’s baton. Her design was selected from among 60 entries from five states.

The public can vote through March 13th to help determine which mascot will represent Cincinnati, OH as host of the seventh World Choir Games in July 2012. Go to to vote for one of the four finalists.

Bertsch, an Illustration major, said she learned about the contest from instructor Marcia Tabler and discussed her design ideas with a roommate who is part of a chorus.
