Fine Arts alumnus Kurt Fondriest (CCAD 1985) was included in the annual Misericordia Home group show The Artist in All, which was visited by more than 1,400 guests during its fundraising event.
The show was held at the modern wing of The Art Institute of Chicago and featured the artwork created by the residents at Misericordia Home in Chicago, which is home to more than 600 adults living with various developmental disabilities.
Fondriest has been an expressive art therapist at the home for more than 20 years and serves as the director of art therapy programs. Through his post, he recently partnered with Chicago’s Brookfield Zoo for the expressive art project ‘Operation Rhino.’ Fondriest was recognized by his high school earlier this year for his humanitarian work.
