Alumnus Receives Artists’ Fellowship

Fine Arts alumnus Phil Hastings (CCAD 1994) is the recipient of the New York Foundation for the Arts’ Artist Fellowship in Film and Video.

Hastings is a filmmaker and visual artist; he is a new media assistant professor at SUNY Fredonia. His work has screened across the U.S. and Canada, including the Black Maria Film Festival, the Winnipeg International Film Festival, the Athens International Film and Video Festival, and the Humboldt International Short Film Festival.

The New York Foundation for the Arts was launched in 1985 and has provided over $27 million in grants to more than 4,400 artists.
