Five CCAD-affiliated artists have work in the 7th Annual National Juried Competition at Majestic Galleries in Nelsonville, OH, through Aug. 25.
The exhibition has 43 participating artists and 65 artworks. CCAD artists and their work include Illustration alumna Bernadette Carstensen (CCAD 2010) and her two pieces Death and The Black Cat; Advertising & Graphic Design alumnus Matthew Clark (CCAD 2011) and his pieces Inside Awareness and Playing Field (White); Fine Arts alumnus Eric Hines (CCAD 2008–2010) and his piece KarnISH; MFA graduate Andrew McCauley (CCAD 2013) and his three-piece Coquette series; and Printmaking Coordinator Kathy McGhee and her pieces Backyard Conversations and Silences and Huhner und Fische.
McCauley’s series took home an honorable mention award at the ceremony on June 28.
Majestic Galleries is a membership-based visual arts group organized to provide exhibition opportunities and connections to contemporary art in a community setting.
