Michael May’s “Stendhal Syndrome, 2012″

Foundation Studies Adjunct Faculty Michael May is the recipient of an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award for 2013.

The Individual Excellence Awards program recognizes outstanding accomplishments by artists in a variety of disciplines. The award has a competitive application process that focuses on evidence and merit of past artistic work and  includes an open panel review conducted by nationally recognized professionals.

The award includes a $5,000 grant that can be used for a variety of expenses related to the growth and development of the artist and his or her work.

May works in a variety of mediums including oil paint, watercolor, making prints, and drawing.
