Chris Mannix, a public services librarian at CCAD, was awarded the Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Scholarship.

The scholarship program supports projects to recruit and educate the next generation of librarians, faculty, and library leaders and to support early career research. It also assists in the professional development of librarians and library staff. As part of the award, Mannix will travel in August to the California Rare Books School in Los Angeles, CA.

Founded in 2005, the school is a continuing education program dedicated to providing the knowledge and skills required by professionals working in all aspects of the rare book community.
