Associate Professor and Director of Liberal Arts Kim Landsbergen gave two presentations at the 98th Annual Ecological Society of America Meeting in Minneapolis, MN, Aug. 4–9.
Both of her presentations focused on integrating science and visual communication.
In addition to her position at CCAD, Landsbergen is a certified senior ecologist with the Ecological Society of America and owner of CarbonEcology Consulting. She has published 20 peer-reviewed ecology papers in scientific journals and holds a research affiliation with Ohio State University’s Department of Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology. She did a post-doctoral fellowship in climate change and forest function at Columbia University’s Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory.
The Ecological Society of America is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization founded in 1915 to promote ecological science by improving communication among ecologists, raise the public’s level of awareness, increase resources available to conduct research, and ensure the appropriate use of ecological science in environmental decision making.
