Illustration alumnus and Chair of Illustration Stewart McKissick (CCAD 1979) designed and created the DVD cover art for the HD transfer and re-release of Fleischer Studio’s 1939 animated feature film version of Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels.

Gulliver’s Travels is about Gulliver, who washes ashore on the land of Lilliput and attempts to prevent war between the tiny kingdom and its rival, Blefuscu.

McKissick has been a freelance illustrator for 30 years, working with a variety of national and regional clients. His work has been included in exhibitions at the Museum of Cartoon Art, the Society of Illustrators, and the Norman Rockwell Museum.

Update 3/11/14: The Blu-ray restoration of the 1939 Gulliver’s Travels was released in March.
