Foundation Studies and Fine Arts Adjunct Instructor Andrea Myers was featured in the October issue of Front Row Center, a monthly online publication of the Greater Columbus Arts Council.
Myers attended Carnegie Mellon University and Ohio State University before transferring to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she focused her studies on painting and printmaking.
“I found myself concentrating on shape and form [in undergrad],” Myers said in the interview. “When I started focusing on sculpture in grad school, I pulled the idea of painting into my thinking and approach to my work.”
Myers now resides in Columbus, where her sculptures and installations have appeared in venues including the Columbus Cultural Arts Center, the OSU Urban Arts Space, and the Columbus Museum of Art.
