“Cornography” by Tim Rietenbach

Fine Arts Professor and alumnus Tim Rietenbach (CCAD 1977) opened his latest exhibition, Official, in the Farmer Family Gallery at Ohio State University at Lima on Oct. 21.

The exhibition features a collection of pieces created throughout the last decade, collectively expressing Rietenbach’s disdain for politicians.

Rietenbach describes one of the exhibition pieces, Cornography, as a representation of the bloated presence that both corn and politics have in our daily lives. He says the eyes in this group portrait, not unlike those in the Mona Lisa, seem to follow the viewer’s every move as the smiles defy logic.

The show is open weekdays Oct. 21–Nov. 15, from 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m. in the Farmer Family Gallery in Reed Hall at OSU Lima.
