Two pieces by Illustration alumnus Daniel Hopper (CCAD 1994) are in New West Coast Design 2 at the San Francisco Museum of Craft and Design.
Hopper’s pieces, a large chandelier and a side table, join dozens of works chosen for their significant contributions to the world of design.
From skateboards and single-speed bikes to water bottles and drinking vessels, furniture, toy houses, and lighting fixtures, New West Coast Design 2 focuses on the design process and how it is manifested by a wide variety of individuals—architects, industrial designers, interior designers, studio craft artists, and design groups working with advanced digital technologies.
The show is on display through Jan. 5 at the San Francisco Museum of Craft and Design located at 2569 Third St., San Francisco, 94107. Museum hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 11 a.m.–6 p.m., Thursday 11 a.m.–7 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m.–6 p.m., and Sunday noon–5 p.m.
Hopper attended Metro East Lutheran High School in Edwardsville, IL, and now lives in Oakland, CA.
