Assistant Professor of Cinematic Arts Eric Homan’s documentary short Hope & Strength: Life after Miscarriages will be broadcast in India on Medi BizTV.
The documentary tells the story of Dublin, OH, couple Justin and Nikki Jason. When Nikki had several miscarriages in a row, Justin turned to art to document their experiences.
The global healthcare channel found the documentary on the Internet and will use it to spread awareness about miscarriages to a mass audience.
“This sensitive topic of miscarriages isn’t discussed that much, and there is a desperate need for people to understand it,” wrote Homan on his YouTube channel. “These video works are to help bridge the emotional gap [to] others [who] have gone through similar painful experiences.”
Homan is also a Time-Based Media Studies alumnus (CCAD 1998).
Homan lives in Dublin, OH, and attended Coldwater High School in Coldwater, OH.
