CCAD brought home two awards and some well-deserved recognition Nov. 21 at the Columbus Society of Communicating Arts Creative Best Awards.
The annual awards recognize the best work coming from Central Ohio creatives.
The CCAD student film project Lumin won Best of Category and was also a hot contender for the Best of Show award. The animated film tells the story of a young boy and his escape from dozens of monsters who pursue him for one thing, his light. Lumin has also been selected for the Austin Film Festival.
Advertising & Graphic Design senior Danielle Williams won an award for her book that illustrates typographic connections and pays homage to American typographer Doyald Young.
Branding agencies Ologie and Base Art Co. won big for their CCAD projects as well. Ologie took home Best of Category and Merit awards for their CCAD Senior Fashion Show materials and an Award of Excellence for their CCAD admissions campaign. Base Art Co. won Best of Category for their CCAD continuing education direct mailers.
Williams is from Sidney, OH, and attended Versailles High School.
