Carla Cesare, assistant professor of Liberal Arts, will be presenting at the Annual International Conference on Humanities and Arts in the Global World in Athens, Greece, in January. Her participation has been funded with a CCAD Faculty Development Grant.

Cesare’s paper, titled “Forms of Wonder: Theorizing the Cabinet of Curiosities,” features the work of Industrial Design alumnus Wade Gwin (CCAD 2013), Industrial Design senior Symon Harrah, and Industrial Design junior Malory Johnson. It will later be published in a book drawn from the conference.

Cesare has been participating in other international conferences as well, including the Body, Corporeality, and Identity Conference at Durham University in the United Kingdom in May 2012 and the Working Wonder Conference at Newcastle University in the United Kingdom in June of this year.

Gwin is from Worthington, OH, and attended Thomas Worthington High School; Harrah is from Springfield, OH, and attended Urbana High School; and Johnson is from Knoxville, TN, and attended Bearden High School.
