Animation alumnus Tyler Mele (CCAD 2010) was the 3D animator for Safe and Free, a campaign for Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) created by Los Angeles film/video studio Gentleman Scholar.

The campaign’s animated spot depicts a humpback whale gliding through a forest and will be used by WDC to help them to bolster support for their worldwide conservation programs.

“Our goal is to be always working on something different, something surprising,” said Creative Director William Campbell on the Gentleman Scholar blog.

Mele is from Wellington, OH, where he attended Wellington Senior High School.
