Liberal Arts Professors Charlene Fix and Lesley Jenike recently released new poetry books.

Fix’s Frankenstein’s Flowers is published by CW Books and features a painting on the cover by Fine Arts Professor Anita Dawson.

Jenike’s latest full-length poetry collection Holy Island is published by Gold Wake Press. Both books are available for purchase from Amazon and at Barnes & Noble. Two of Jenike’s poems from the book were also featured on Poetry Daily, an online anthology of contemporary poetry, on Feb. 26.

Fix has received poetry fellowships from the Ohio Arts Council and the Greater Columbus Arts Council, and has published poems in various literary magazines including Poetry, Literary Imagination, Hotel Amerika, Mudfish, The Antioch Review, The Ohio Review, Chicago Review, The Journal, The Manhattan Review, Birmingham Poetry Review, Artful Dodge, Rattle, The Cincinnati Review, and Alimentum.

An American Academy of Poets prize winner, Jenike has also had work in Poetry, Gettysburg Review, The Southern Review, Gulf Coast, Verse, Sou’wester, Blackbird, Rattle, POOL, Tampa Review, The Birmingham Poetry Review, and other journals.

Previous solo publications include Ghost of Fashion and chapbooks Folly Garden and How We Came Ashore.
