After years of creative growth, intense learning, long nights, and inspiring days (and a few X-acto knife scars along the way) CCAD’s graduating seniors and MFA candidates are ready to unleash their talents on the world and join the ranks of CCAD alumni.
More than 270 graduates will celebrate the college’s 135th spring commencement on May 10 at the historic Palace Theatre.
CCAD President Denny Griffith will deliver this year’s graduation speech. Griffith will retire this summer after 16 years of service to the college and the Columbus arts community.
At a Teaching Excellence Award event on April 10, CCAD honored nine outstanding seniors chosen by the department heads of each major.
As the countdown to commencement begins, we’ll introduce each stellar senior here on the CCAD news blog. Check back on Wednesday, April 30, to meet our first outstanding senior, Cassandra Douglas. We’ll publish one profile each day leading up to May 9 when we will announce this year’s valedictorian.
