Abijanac’s work relates closely to her experiences as a cancer survivor. Digital drawing has allowed her to trace cancer cell formations and the systemic patterning of the disease.
“In my mind, it’s demystifying the disease, finding beauty in nature,” Abijanac said in a ThisWeek Community News article.
The exhibition also features works by Sharon Dougherty, Elena Osterwalder, and Nicholas Hill.
Abijanac is from Columbus, OH, and attended Columbus Alternative School.
The exhibition is on display through June 2 at Art Access Gallery, 540 S. Drexel Ave., Bexley, OH, 43209.
