The “SMAC End of Year Exhibition” will be on display through July 26 in the children’s literature area of the Main Library

Nearly 90 pieces of art created by students in CCAD’s Saturday Morning Art Classes program will be on display beginning June 7 at the Main Library of the Columbus Public Library. A free public opening reception will take place on June 7 from 1–4 p.m.

The SMAC End of Year Exhibition will celebrate the work of 30 classes of students in grades one through 12. It will include drawings, paintings, sculptures, and collaborative projects selected by instructors from each class.

Cat Sheridan, director of Continuing & Professional Studies at CCAD, said the year-end exhibition is not to be missed.

“I love the way students of all ages solve visual problems,” Sheridan said. “They often surprise me with their wit and technical ability.”

CCAD’s Saturday Morning Art Classes program has been providing education to students in grades one through 12 for 135 years. Classes meet every Saturday for 10 weeks per semester.

The SMAC End of Year Exhibition will be on display through July 26 in the children’s literature area of the Main Library, 96 S. Grant Ave., Columbus, OH, 43215.
