Joy/Roy/Boy was the theme chosen by CCAD President Denny Griffith for the annual Ohio Art League Spring Juried Exhibition in the Carnegie Gallery at the Columbus Metropolitan Library Main Branch.
Called “compelling” and “unconventional” by the Columbus Dispatch, the exhibition showcases three dozen works selected by Griffith, including five CCAD alumni and student artists: Fine Arts alumni Christopher Burk (CCAD 1999), Rachel Schutt (CCAD 2010), James McDevitt-Stredney (CCAD 2012), and Esteban Gonzalez (CCAD 2014) and Fine Arts junior Austin Burnside.
The Ohio Art League Spring Juried Exhibition runs through June 27 at the Columbus Metropolitan Library Main Branch, 96 S. Grant Ave., Columbus, OH, 43215.
Burk is from Galloway, OH (Westland High School); Schutt is from Antwerp, OH (Antwerp High School); McDevitt-Stredney is from Sunbury, OH (Buckeye Valley High School); Gonzalez is from Charlotte, NC (Northwest School of the Arts); and Burnside is from Mason, OH (William Mason High School).
