Pencil drawings and paintings inspired by CCAD alumna Boryana Rusenova Ina’s Bulgarian upbringing are on display in Out.Look at the Cultural Arts Center.

The 2006 Fine Arts grad plays with the notions of being a foreigner and a native in her latest solo exhibition.

“I am curious to understand their meaning and how we could transition between these states,” Ina said in the exhibition’s press release. “Our personal and cultural identities are closely tied to the location and makeup of the places we identify with.”

Out.Look is on display through July 26 at the Cultural Arts Center, 139 W. Main St., Columbus, OH, 43215.

Ina is from Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and attended Lathrop R-li High School.
