Haley Fischer’s interactive senior thesis exhibition, Synethesia, recently caught the eye of SquareSpace, the content management system that powers and hosts her website.

“Haley Fischer completed her education at Columbus College of Art & Design with this phenomenal thesis,” SquareSpace posted on its Pinterest page.

Fischer’s senior thesis installation explored perceptions of color by utilizing augmented reality— responsive computer-generated animation that allows users to individually interact with a static piece of work using a smart phone or tablet with a camera.

“To assume all people see and interact with color in the same way is to be foolish and naive,” Fischer (CCAD 2014) said on her website. “My senior thesis was designed to challenge viewers current perceptions of color.”

Fischer studied Advertising & Graphic Design and is from Lawrence, KS, where she attended Lawrence High School.
