<p>Columbus College of Art &amp; Design (CCAD)  junior  Caleb Boller is the winner of the<a href="http://aicuoartaward.blogspot.com/p/sculpture-design-contest.html" target="_blank"> 2011 AICUO Sculpture Design Contest</a>. The design contest is hosted by the <a href="http://www.aicuo.edu/" target="_blank">Association for Independent Colleges &amp; Universities</a> of Ohio (AICUO) as a supplement to the organization&#8217;s <a href="http://aicuoartaward.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Award for Excellence in the Visual Arts</a>. The winning design is used to make the awards presented at the awards reception.</p>
<p>For the next step of the  Sculpture Design Competition, Caleb will be working with a professional  local sculptor (to be announced) to bring his pieces to life. Attend the <a href="http://aicuoartaward.blogspot.com/p/2011-reception.html" target="_blank">2011 AICUO Awards Reception</a> on April 13 for the unveiling of the final sculptures.</p>
<p>Boller is an  Industrial Design major and focuses much of his  energy on  ceramics. Ever since a high school program that he took in  his hometown  of Roanoke, IN, Caleb has had an interest in all things  3D. A renowned  CCAD ceramics instructor, Bill Hunt, drew Caleb to the college. Boller is the recipient of a silver portfolio Scholastics scholarship and a CCAD scholarship.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><em>Gifted: a group jewelry exhibition &#8230; and more</em> features the  work of Kelly Malec-Kosak, along with three  other local artists, at the <a href="http://www.dublinarts.org/" target="_blank">Dublin Arts Council</a> through Dec. 11, 2009.</p>
<p>In a symbolic gesture to mothering, Malec-Kosak, chair of Dimensional Studies,  uses traditional fabrication and carving techniques to create a  collection of pacifiers that are jewel-like in scale and form.</p>
<p>The  exhibition opens with a reception on Tuesday, Nov. 3 from 6 to 8 p.m.  at the arts council,  7125 Riverside Dr., Dublin, OH.  Admission to both the exhibition and reception is  free and open to the public. Hours are 10 a.m. &#8211; 7 p.m. Tuesday; 11  a.m. &#8211; 5 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; 11 a.m. &#8211; 2 p.m.  Saturday. For more information call DAC at 614.889.7444.</p>
