Dinosaur Pet, illustrated by alumnus Tim Bowers (CCAD 1979), has garnered a lot of attention—it has climbed to number three on The New York Times bestsellers list and is number one on the Publishers Weekly top-selling children’s picture book list.

The book, written by Marc Sedaka, follows a young boy and his unlikely companionship with his pet dinosaur. A musical CD accompanies the story; songs on the CD are sung by the author’s father, Grammy Award winner Neil Sedaka.

Bowers has illustrated more than 30 children’s books, including The New York Times bestseller Dream Big, Little Pig! written by Kristi Yamaguchi.
