AND Heads up! It’s time to submit your nominations for the Annual Alumni Excellence Award. Nominations are due July 20 and can be submitted via the online form. The winner will be presented with the award at homecoming.

President Griffith presents the 2010 Alumni Award for Excellence to Rosanne Percival.

Each year, we ask our alumni to nominate their classmates for the Joseph V. Canzani Alumni Award for Excellence (AAE). It’s a way for us to acknowledge not only the success and contributions of one very deserving graduate, but also the impact CCAD alumni have all over the world.

AAE nominees must be an alum or associate alum of CCAD who has not previously received the award. Finalists are chosen based upon their accomplishments related to artistic excellence, the impact they have had on a broad spectrum of people, the significant advancements they’ve made in their art or design field, and their exemplification of CCAD’s ideals.

The award is presented during our annual Homecoming celebration. This year’s event has been completely redesigned to include an entire weekend of events for the whole CCAD family—alumni, students, parents, and faculty and staff. Save the date: Family Weekend & Homecoming is October 7-9.

The class of 1981 reunited in May.

Each year, several CCAD classes reunite to remember their time here, see where their careers have taken them, and visit the place they once called home. This July and October, we welcome back the classes of 1974, 1998, and 1999. Here are the specifics.

Classes of 1998 & 1999 Reunion
Date:  July 16, 2011
Location: Canzani Center Multi-Purpose Room and Auditorium—60 Cleveland Avenue, Columbus.

Date: October 8-9, 2011 (during Family Weekend and Homecoming, October 7-9)
Location and Details: Still being determined, but we know that it is on campus and that it will be completely awesome (and that you’ll want to come … seriously).
