A sculptural ceramic vessel by Bill Hunt, professor, Fine Arts, will be exhibited this fall in the 2010 International Academy of Ceramics (IAC) exhibition at the Musée National de Céramique-Sèvres near Paris.

Hunt’s piece, titled Global Warming, will join the museum’s permanent collection thereafter. Established in the early 19th century to collect and study fine ceramics, the museum contains nearly 50,000 historical and contemporary objects from around the world.

The IAC is a UNESCO-affiliated organization and serves as the worldwide organization of ceramic artists. Hunt is the first CCAD faculty member ever elected to membership in the IAC, followed by previous CCAD ceramics faculty member Ban Kajitani.
