Weigle will discuss his artistic influences and current work and will follow his talk with a demo. His work, which includes drawings, prints, and plein-air landscapes, often depicts the Cape Cod environment.

The cooperative is dedicated to promoting the art of printmaking by providing a studio, educational opportunities, and an environment of support and inspiration for artists, students, and the community.

The exhibition includes work from more than 50 Ohio artists with mediums ranging from paintings to sculptures and jewelry.

Weigle is a plein air landscape painter who often focuses on the Cape Cod environment.

The show consists of 90 pieces of art from more than 50 artists. Weigel will judge and award first, second, and third place awards for two-dimensional and three-dimensional work, as well as several honorable mentions.

Weigle teaches papermaking and lithography relief printmaking courses at CCAD. He has received several Ohio Arts Council grants for coordinating youth art classes and was invited to participate in the 2007 International Printmaking Work studio at Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts in Xi’an, China.

The exhibition will run through April 28, 2012 at the Pump House Center for the Arts, located on Yoctangee Park’s Enderlin Circle.
