Mike Puncekar, a senior majoring in Illustration, is to receive the Cengage Learning Drawing Inspiration Student Scholarship Award from the Society of Illustrators (SOI) at a ceremony in New York on Friday, May 7. Puncekar’s winning entry in the 2010 Student Scholarship Competition is Lincoln’s Secret Letters. Additionally, The Undertaker’s March by Puncekar is included in the competition’s student exhibition, which runs May 5-29, 2010.

Other CCAD Illustration majors who entered the competition and have works in the student exhibition are senior Jordan Merchant (Bean), sophomore Jeff Stevenson (A Shaver Jeffery), and senior Kirsten Zirngibl (Avarice and The Commute).
