Veggie Monster by Sarah Wurm

Four CCAD students are included in the Society of Illustrators 2009 Student Scholarship competition.

Sarah Wurm, a senior majoring in Illustration, was awarded $1,500 in honor of Barbara Carr for Veggie Monster, a three-dimensional illustration.

Other CCAD students in the competition were Kristen Zirngibl with Amusement Park; Margaret Hardy with Chicago 29 and Yellow Wallpaper Eating Ugly Sweater; and Alex Alvarado with Santa.

The Museum of American Illustration displayed the winning art through June 6, 2009.
