Comic Anthology hits bookshelves December 8.</p></div>
<p>David Crosland (CCAD &#8217;00) illustrated a short story by Kelly-Sue DeConnick for the soon-to-be-released <em>Yo Gabba Gabba! Comic Anthology</em>, based on the critically acclaimed <a href="http://www.nick.com/">Nickelodeon</a> television series.</p>
<p>The anthology is a collaboration between <a href="http://www.onipress.com/">Oni Press</a>, <a href="http://www.wildbrain.com/entertainment.html">W!LDBRAIN Entertainment</a>, and the award-winning entertainment company and producers of <a href="Yo Gabbba Gabba!"><em>Yo Gabbba Gabba!</em></a>. It is the first <em>Yo Gabba Gabba!</em> comic project and features characters DJ Lance Rock, the residents of his magic boombox, Brobee, Muno, Toodee, Foofa and Plex (as well as their Story Time pals).</p>
<p>Crosland works as a freelance illustrator in West Oakland, California and has created illustrations for musicians Jane&#8217;s Addiction, Rufus Wainwright, Galactic, Incubus, Blueprint, and Gym Class Heroes. He has also created two lines of board designs for <a href="http://ridesnowboards.com/">Ride Snowboards</a>.</p>
<p>Illustrations by Crosland have been featured in magazines <em>Spin</em>, <em>Venus</em>, <em>Tastes Like Chicken</em>, <em>Metro LA</em>, and <em>Time Out Chicago</em>. His artwork can be seen in comic books <em>Puffed</em>, <em>Kung Fu Bus-Boy,</em> <em>Slop</em>, <em>Everybody&#8217;s DEAD,</em> and <em>Scarface: Scarred For Life</em>. He has worked with <a href="http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/">Cartoon Network</a>, <a href="http://www.warnerbros.com/">Warner Brothers Animation</a>, and <a href="http://www.disneyanimation.com/">Walt Disney Animation</a> on concept pitches and character design work.
