Student Organizations & Activities
Student organizations are an essential part of the CCAD community. They provide valuable experiences for students that lead to significant learning and development, and create a sense of belonging. Student organizations improve CCAD by promoting leadership development, community spirit, activism, public service, and social and cultural interaction.
How to Start a Student Organization
All student organizations must complete registration paperwork with the director of student activities each year in order to take advantage of all available facilities and services. (Find a pdf of the registration form below.)
Why Register Your Student Organization?
Benefits provided by CCAD to registered student organizations include, but are not limited to:
- May request use of college facilities, buildings, grounds, services (some may have fees for use).
- Ability to request funds from student government or its designated student organizations.
- Access to CCAD Student Activities staff and resources.
- Participation in the student organization fair.

Student-Organized Activities
The Student Affairs staff, in conjunction with the Student Programming Board (SPB) and student organizations, plans and implements activities supporting a rich student life. Some activities are repeated each year, while new programs are initiated according to student interest. Some of the popular programs include the Big Boo party at Halloween, annual CCAD art sales, late night breakfasts, health and wellness fairs, student movie contests, student-led team sports, and tournaments.
