Incubator
Columbus College of Art & Design created the MindMarket Incubator to provide the mentorship, business coaching, and link to professional services for art- and design-based ventures to launch.
How to Join the CCAD MindMarket Incubator:
Five steps to ensure your business is a good candidate for the CCAD MindMarket Incubator:
Step one
Indicate your interest by submitting the request more information form. The MindMarket director will contact you to discuss which level of membership best matches your business.
Step two
Submit an application (pdf) to request a specific level of Incubator membership. You will need to include a business plan and current financial statements or financial projections, depending on your company’s stage of development. (The MindMarket director will advise you on this.)
Required financials may include:
- Balance sheet
- Profit and loss statements for two–three years
- Cash flow projections for one–three years
- Sources of working capital for at least the first six months of Incubator participation
- Estimate of future funding requirements
- Personal financial documents, including net worth statements and recent tax returns, from all parties owning 20 percent or more of your business
Step three
Meet with the MindMarket director for an initial conversation about your goals and aspirations for your business. The MindMarket director will review your application and make a recommendation to the Incubator review committee regarding your acceptance into the program and level of membership that best matches your business needs.
Step four
If your business is recommended to be an Incubator resident member, you will be asked to make a detailed presentation of your application and business plan to the MindMarket mentoring council. The council will evaluate the viability of your business in the marketplace and determine which specific services will be most useful to you in achieving your goals.
If your business is selected for non-resident level participation, you’ll be asked to present a whitepaper on your business.
Step five
Start-ups will be accepted as either a resident or non-resident member. Information and agreement for participation will be reviewed with the MindMarket director for your final acceptance.
