Software on Campus

CCAD has more than 400 academic computers on campus, both Macintosh and Windows systems. Most are equipped for general-purpose art and design use.

2013–2014 Standard Macintosh Image

The following software applications will be installed on all academic Macintosh computers on campus for the 2012-2013 Academic year:

AMF101 is a digital drawing and painting classroom. The Standard Macintosh Image is installed, with one addition:

2013–2014 Industrial, Interior, and Fashion Design Image

In addition to the Standard Windows Image applications, the following software is installed on systems in Design Studios on Broad 222, Crane Center 217, open access systems on the second floor of the Crane Center and in Kinney Hall 106L, 107, 108, and 109. It is also available on instructor systems in the Interior Design area, including the Light Lab, Studio Presentation systems, the Faculty Resource system, and on the instructor system in DSB219.

College policy is for faculty to define a set of standard applications to use throughout a given academic year. Critical updates will be applied at select times during the year, but major new releases and new applications will be considered for inclusion the next academic year.
