Columbus College of Art & Design presents two new exhibition in the Canzani Center Gallery: Bending the Mirror, which samples the fecund diversity of international figurative art today, and home., which examines what we might call "normal" suburbia through the work of painter Jessica Rohrer and photographers Bill Owens and Mark Slankard.

Bending the Mirror

This exhibtion samples a portion of the complex information found in new figurative art. These works, while connected in subject, display a timely spectrum of ideas, perspectives, issues of identity, and sociopolitical agendas. Christian Faur and Mark Bush, two artists from central Ohio, will be part of the diverse international roster.

home. combines the perspectives of three artists who have distinctive takes on the American suburb and the lives of those within: emerging NYC painter Jessica Rohrer, iconic 1970's photographer Bill Owens, and Cleveland-based artist Mark Slankard.
