New Student
Orientation 2013

June & August

CCAD Campus

Orientation sessions are available in June and August (see dates to right) for new students entering CCAD in fall 2013. The June sessions and the Aug. 23 session are available for any new student. The Aug. 22 session is only open to transfer students and new students over the age of 24. It is recommended that transfer students and new students over 24 years old attend the Aug. 22 session as the program will be tailored to them. The international session is for students with an international visa only and will be a weeklong transition experience tailored for our international students.

All new students must register for and attend one orientation session.

Check-in is in the Canzani Center (building no.1 on the Campus Map). Please note that if you need to take the freshman English exam, it is scheduled before check-in on the second floor of the Crane Center (building no. 2 on the Campus Map). You will be contacted separately if you need to take the F.E.E.

During orientation you register for classes and leave with your schedule; discuss financial aid, health resources, the academic program, and educational resources; enjoy social activities; and gather in student groups to meet faculty and upper-level students.Visit our Orientation Page for additional information on what to expect and what to bring.

Check out our pre-orientation booklet online.

Information specifically tailored for parents also is offered during orientation. Family members may stay on campus during June orientation; visit our Orientation Page for details. Family members are not able to stay on campus during the August orientation sessions. Check out our Where to Stay page to find hotel and restaurant information.

Use Google Maps for getting directions to campus.
