Financial aid

Students at CCAD are required to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. This form can be filed electronically at http://fafsa.ed.gov. Results from your FAFSA are then sent by the U.S. Department of Education electronically to the CCAD Financial Aid Office. If you are not applying for Federal Financial Aid and have questions about this requirement, please contact the one-stop student services at 614-222-3295.

You will need the college code number when filing—our code number is 003039. The government will forward your results to CCAD. We will receive these results electronically.

Note: The college provides computers in the One Stop Student Services area for those who wish to file online and do not have computer access.

Deadlines for the 2008–2009 academic year

Please note that the following deadlines refer to the date CCAD must receive the results of your FAFSA from the Department of Education. You must file your FAFSA in plenty of time for your application to be processed and for the results to be sent to CCAD by the appropriate deadline.

  • For students applying for, SEOG Grant, and the Perkins loans and/or CCAD scholarships, the FAFSA application results must be received by CCAD from the Department of Education by March 3, 2008. Please submit the form to the Department of Education well in advance of this deadline to allow time for processing.
  • For all other students, the FAFSA application results must be received by CCAD from the Department of Education by June 6, 2008. Please submit the form to the Department of Education well in advance of this deadline to allow time for processing.

What other forms are required?

Students may be randomly selected by the government to submit verification items to CCAD. If selected, CCAD will send the student a verification statement, which will need to be submitted to Student Services along with parent and student IRS 1040 forms for 2007.

Failure to submit the required verification forms will result in financial awards being delayed. CCAD will not award federal aid until these forms are submitted.

If you are not sure whether you qualify as a dependent or independent student, contact Student Services 614.222.3295, before submitting.

If you wish to take out a Stafford or Parent Loan

Students and parents can apply online for Federal loan programs, including Stafford or Parent PLUS loans.
