CCAD Admissions

You've probably already made one important decision: You want to be a professional artist or designer. You're looking at colleges dedicated to the visual arts and you want a challenging curriculum. We're glad you're considering CCAD.

The admissions process starts with completing an application, either online or on paper. You'll need at least one letter of recommendation from someone who knows you well, and who can tell us about you and your potential. We also require that you write a personal statement; let us get to know you through your words. Next, send us transcripts showing your past academic record. We require either the ACT or SAT test scores and we also require all applicants to submit a portfolio of artwork.

We know that the college admissions process can be daunting. We have a team of admissions professionals who can help you along the way. We hope you'll come visit our campus—the studios, faculty, students, and atmosphere will impress you. Spend some time with us, and ask every question on your mind. This is a big decision and you deserve all the information to make the right decision for you. Every December, we host College Day. This event is a great opportunity to see the campus and meet faculty, and current students, and alumni. We also schedule weekday appointments for a one-on-one meeting with an admissions officer, a campus tour, and a portfolio review, all year long. To reserve an appointment time, please contact us.
