The Packard Library slide room is dedicated to providing 35mm slides and high-resolution, high-quality digital images to teachers for use in classroom presentations.

Two digital image databases are available on the Web to house images we have purchased and scanned. Together, Artstor and Madison Digital Image Database hold tens of thousands of images and provide image viewing presentation software for use in the classroom.

The slide room also is equipped to scan images from books, slides and other formats as requested. We will accommodate as many of your requests for digital images as possible (please remember to provide adequate time and image sources to the slide room when placing a request). In addition, if you need instruction on the use of digital image software, please see the visual resources librarian, who can also provide you with passwords and further information.

Duplication of materials from the slide library is governed by the U.S. Copyright Act of 1976. Materials borrowed are to be used for teaching purposes only. The borrower assumes responsibility for any infringement of copyright laws.
