The Packard Library is located in the lower level of the Canzani Center (southeast corner of Cleveland Avenue and E.Gay Street). A window wall opens to view a terraced garden providing a pleasant location to spend time studying, researching assignments, or doing homework.
The Library’s holdings include over 50,000 books, 275 current periodical subscriptions, and 4 daily/weekly newspaper subscriptions. In addition, the Library provides access to research databases, full-text e-Books, and digital videos that can be streamed or downloaded using RealPlayer®. The slide and image collections are used by the faculty for class instruction.
CCAD Packard Library is a member of OPAL (Ohio Private Academic Libraries) and OhioLINK. Through these consortia memberships, students and faculty have borrowing privileges at 85 public and private academic libraries in Ohio, as well as, Cuyahoga County Public Library, Westerville Public Library and the State Library of Ohio.

The library AV equipment, available for student use in the library, include: slide projectors, light tables, TV-DVD’s, opaque projector, overhead projector and a CD player.
The library has 9 Macintosh computers, 2 scanners, and 2 Windows computers for student use. All of the computers have Internet access and word processing. The Macs have graphics programs supporting most class work. Two black-and-white laser copiers and a color laser copier, networked to an iMac for color printing, are available in the library. The library is one of the wireless hotspots on campus.
The drawing supplements available for uses in the library include three-dimensional skeletons, skulls, and wooden mannequins.
Students may check out five books and 10 picture files per day. A current CCAD ID is required. Items circulate for three weeks and may be renewed. To renew online go to: My account in the CCAD Library Catalog.
Overdue fines are 10 cents per item per day for CCAD Library materials. Overdue fines for OhioLINK materials are 50 cents per item per day for the first 30 days. A flat fee of $50 per item is charged after 30 days. Overdue notices are sent via e-mail, campus mail, or U.S. mail. To avoid fines for overdue materials, students can renew items in person or online. The replacement fee for a lost CCAD book is $100. Lost OhioLINK books cost $125.
Every term students need to bring their current ID card and register at the CCAD Packard Library circulation desk.

Available for purchase in the library, copy cards are needed to print from the color copier/printer. The copy cards cost $1.00, prints cost $1.25. Special paper and transparencies are available for purchase at the circulation desk.
Faculty often place items on reserve to give more students access. These items may be obtained at the circulation desk. You will need to know the teacher’s name, or the course name or number. Reserve items are for use only in the Library. Students may check items on reserve for a particular course, online. You can check course reserves online through the CCAD library catalog.
