Request books from another OhioLINK library

Connect to databases from off Campus

CCAD Proxy Server
If you are on-campus, you will automatically be connected to the electronic resource by clicking on the URL. If you are off-campus, you will be redirected to the OPAL/CCAD Database Remote Authentication Page.
Simply enter your last name and the 14 digit barcode number on your CCAD ID to gain access from your home or office.

OhioLINK Authentication Server

In addition to the CCAD Proxy Server, you can still use the OhioLINK Authentication Server to access OhioLINK resources.

Go to http://auth.ohiolink.edu/
Select Columbus College of Art and Design from the list of Ohio colleges appearing in the drop-down menu.
Click on Submit button.
Enter your name, exactly as it appears on your CCAD ID card.
Enter the 14 digit barcode number on your CCAD ID card.
Click on the Submit button.

You should receive a message indicating that you have successfully authenticated. Your browser will then be redirected to the OhioLINK database page.
If you receive an error message while authenticating, try the list of Frequently Asked Questions. This link provides information on user system requirements and compatibility for remote access.

If you still can't get access you may not have a library record. Call us at 614 222-3273 or come into the library.

Renew books

Go to My account
Enter your name and 14 digit barcode number from your CCAD ID Card.
Click on the submit button.
Select Checked Out Items.
Either click on Renew All or Select Specific items and then click on Renew Selected items.
This does not work if items are already overdue or there is a hold on the item - please inquire at 222-3273.

Request books from another OhioLINK library

To request a book from another OhioLINK library, click on the "Request This Item" link.
Select Columbus College of Art & Design in the drop down list.
Type in name and 14 digit barcode number from CCAD ID Card.
It normally takes 3-4 business days for the book to arrive on campus. You will receive an email when it has arrived.
