INTERIOR DESIGN OVERVIEW

Interior Design students work toward learning to create the environments where we live, work and play. CCAD offers you the opportunity to build a space that elicits specific emotional responses, while effectively addressing the functional requirements of a room or building.

In this program you will address problems ranging from structural issues to fabric choice. You'll use renderings, three-dimensional models, and computer modeling to better communicate ideas visually.

The experiences in the Interior Design program focus on design process, critical thinking, and career preparation. In addition, our industry-experienced faculty will help guide you through the coursework, competitions, studio projects and real-world experiences that are important in a career as an interior designer.

CCAD's Interior Design program is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA).

Whether as freelance designers or with major firms, CCAD graduates often seek careers in three major areas of interior design: commercial, institutional and residential.
