Congratulations on your choice to apply to Columbus College of Art & Design. High school seniors should start the application process as early as possible in their senior year for fall term admission.
CCAD uses CollegeNet to process online applications (link below). Before going to the online application, please gather the materials listed on this page.

Here's a List of What You'll Need to Apply to CCAD:
- Current high school transcript(s) or GED certificate. An official high school transcript, reflecting a minimum grade point average of 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
- ACT or SAT standardized college entrance exam scores.
- AP/IB transcripts [for participants in the Advanced Placement (AP) Program of the College Board or the International Baccalaureate (IB)].
- College transcripts. Transfer students and high school students who have received college credit must request that an official transcript be sent from each college previously attended. Transfer students' most recent transcript must reflect a 2.0 minimum grade point average.
- A portfolio of 10-15 examples of your artwork. It's a good idea to visit CCAD and review your portfolio with an admissions officer.
- Letters of recommendation. You'll need to submit one or more letters of recommendation. These may be from art instructors, guidance counselors, professional artists, or other adults not related to you.
- Personal statement. CCAD requires each applicant to submit a 500-word personal essay. You should explain your artistic, academic, and career goals, and why you chose CCAD to achieve your goals.
- Final transcripts. Following graduation from high school or the last term completed for any college credit coursework, you need to submit a final transcript of grades.
